It’s soon time for the Apple special event, "Let’s Rock", that will start at 10a.m Pacific time (6p.m London time). I’m going to try to do a new thing for the blog here which is going to be semi-liveblogging. Because I’m not there in person, I’m not doing a liveblog but I will be following a number of different sites and blog the updates here in this post for you all to see! It’s gonna be a first so I’m hoping it’ll all go as planned. I’m also going to post the major announcements up to Twitter. So follow the event after the jump!

10:43 a.m - They’re moving on through games now. I’m gonna try to get a new system up in the frame above!
10:39 a.m - Spore is first up. People say it doesn’t look like that much fun.
10:37 a.m - Phil Schiller is now demoing unreleased games on the iPod Touch.
10:35 a.m - Now it is App Store time. 100 million downloads of apps in 60 days. Available wirelessy in 63 countires.
10.33 a.m - Demo of genius playlists on the iPod Touch.
10:32 a.m - iPod Touch has a built in Nike + receiver…unclear still if older versions or iPhones can work with Nike +.
10.31 a.m - New iPod Touch appears. Redesigned. Thinner and sleeker. Now with a speaker and genius playlist control, that’s the different part, plus integrated volume control on the side.
10:28 a.m -New in-ear headphones. Available for $79 also next month. Jobs says he thinks that they "finally got it right this time".
10:28 a.m - New accessories as well. New headphones with more advanced music controls than on the iPhone on-band headset. Controls for volume, pause and play are there. Also microphone. $29 each, next month.
10:26 a.m - 8gb available today for $149. 16gb available this weekend or early next week for $199!

10:25 a.m - They’re coming in a huge range of colours! The rainbow is now in the nano lineup!
10:24 a.m - Jobs keeps saying it’s the thinnest ever. He also puts the focus on the fact that it’s really environmentally friendly.
10:22 a.m - More demo. Photo viewing. Click to move through, rotate back and forth. Shake to shuffle your songs.
10:20 a.m - Clearer screen, better suited. Converflow in landscape mode as on the iPod Touch.

10:19 a.m - Much new and improved menu systems. It looks cool.
10:18 a.m - Accelerometer built into the iPod Nano as well. Turn for photos and videos. Larger display. Thinner than ever. Enhanced user interface!
10:17 a.m - New iPod Nano. Looks like we all had seen before. They’re going back to the old and beloved tall format.
10:16 a.m - 80gb iPod Classic is getting upgraded to 120gb. The 160gb will be discontinued.
10:15 a.m - Moving onto the iPod! (The real news now!) It’s got a 73,4% marketshare in the US!
10:14 a.m - iTunes 8 available today on Apple.com!
10:10 a.m - It’s demo time. Steve is demoing the new iTunes version!
10:09 a.m - Genius sidebar will make suggestions for more music in the store that "go great" together with your current.
10:07 a.m - Smarter Playlists with Genius. Automatically make playlists with music that go great together!
10:06 a.m - You will be able to browse your albums by artist in grid mode and when you scrub over the artist you will flick through their albums (like in iPhoto).
10:05 a.m - iTunes 8 is out! VoiceOvers, New Genius list and grid browsing mode (rumors were right!)
10:04 a.m - We are going to have HDTV Shows now in the iTunes Store. $2.99 per episode!
10:03 a.m - iTunes is number one music distributor in any media!
10:03 a.m - 8.5 million songs, 125k podcasts, 3k iPhone/iPod Touch applications now in the iTunes Store!
10:01 a.m - First up is music. We are going to talk about iTunes first.
10.00 a.m - Jobs has hit the stage.
9:59 a.m - It should be one minute left until it begins. Audience has been asked to turn off their cellphones.
9:45 a.m - Music is pounding from the speakers. It’s rock this time around.
