 Pixel to EM

  • Google has launched a new beta service that allows you to access Gmail offline! It’s built on Google Gears caching your webpage and your writing of an email, saving it for when you get online again. They are rolling out the feature slowly to registered accounts and it is still a beta service but still rather cool! I’ve not got to trying it yet but once I do I’ll let you know.

  • If you are doing a lot of web coding you’ll probably find yourself doing conversions from pixel based sizes to units like em. Here’s a great site called PXtoEM that will let you easily convert pixel sizes into the proper em value.

  • If you’re a website owner and a Twitter addict (like myself) you might want to integrate your website with your Twitter postings. I wrote last week about how you can do that using WordPress but if you only want a simple widget that displays your latest tweets, here is an article that explains how to build your own custom widget for that!

  • It happens to everyone at one point. You get hijacked on your site. Over at Freelance Switch they have an article today talking about just that, what to do when you get hijacked and how to do something about it in the best manner!
