Cha-Ching

Keeping control over your money and where it goes can be a daunting progress. It is here that Cha-Ching (hear the cash register sound when you read the application name?) aim to help you. Cha-Ching is a personal financial manager application that allows you to track where your money goes and to whom. You can set up as many different accounts as you want and set up the starting balance for them and get going with the managing.

Cha-Ching also supports budget features, allowing you to quickly and easily draw up a good-looking budget for your accounts to see how much you can spend and have left to spend each month.

To better organize your transactions, you can set up different payees, making it even easier to enter the name of the place where the money is coming from/going to as well as set up different categories for your transactions and payees. If you want to organize and sort only by a certain group of transactions, you could tag these with special tags and use the smart group ability to create a group that only shows these specific transactions and that also adds new transactions that get created as long as they match the correct criteria.

I really think that Cha-Ching is a great application for managing your money in. It definitely makes it more fun and together with the iPhone companion app (Cha-Ching Touch) you can have your managing available with you everywhere (Note that Cha-Ching touch is reviewed separately). If you want a solid, easy to use and feature rich application, I can’t recommend Cha-Ching enough!
