» I want your comments and suggestions!
As any site rightfully should be I’m constantly trying to improve things around here. I’m right now in a planning period for the late autumn and I’m putting a lot of thought into the different projects coming (included are of course the podcast and the blog). As much as I have a ton of own projects I’m planning for and scheduling in, I would love to hear what you’d like to see more. Themed blog posts, more podcast episodes, more tutorials, more reviews etc. All of these are planned in but knowing what you, my readers would like more would get me to priotitize them to your advantage
So let me know in the comments here or through my feedback form what you’d like to see here!
» Video Tutorial: Create a frame using an action in Photoshop
I’ve been really bad when it comes to posting new site tutorials and after fixing up my recording environment I have no real reason not to be posting a lot more. Here are a first in the lines of many more coming. This one is on how to create a simple, yet elegant, frame for your photography in Photoshop and also how to batch process a number of high-res photos to get them web-ready in size and border.
» Site News & Updates

Guess what! There are actually things happening with the site a little now and then and most of the time the changes do happen over the weekend. Here are some news on what’s up!
New Sub-header
Alright so I’ve updated the sub-header from the old cutoff and generally buggy featured tutorial viewer because I felt it was just taking up space and not doing that much. Instead I’ve added a little three part info box. The latest blog headlines, the podcast episode (latest) and the latest tutorials (or featured ones). I hope you like it!
Brand new poll!
I thought since Photoshop World is coming up this week (more on that in a couple of days), that it would be a pretty good to change out that poll. Instead I’ve changed it to ask which your favorite blogging platform is as I’m really interested in knowing. Now I do know that I can’t fit all in a poll, so I’ve listed the most major ones and then included an other one, if there’s a platform you think should be there. Leave me a comment.
Articles Coming
I have written and I’m in the process of writing more more photography and web design articles for the blog as I feel the news posts need something more per day. I’ll still go on with the posts but also do more article posting and so on. Look out for the first one tomorrow!
New CSTT Podcast Epsiode
Sorry for the no-podcast week this past week. I was down with a cold and couldn’t record which is why. I’m uploading this weeks show right now and you should be getting another one coming tomorrow to make up for it.
That’s it for this weekends updates. Look out for some new things coming soon
» Site Updates: Easier Searching + Video Tutorial Problems

I’ve noticed that the search feature of the site has been way too hidden. Some of you might even ask if there even was one. I went ahead and changed the header this morning to now include a search box. Just type your search query and hit enter to search the entire site. Posts, tutorials, reviews, quick-tips and all! This however made the photos go away that was in the header before because of two things, a) the site is more focused on general media and design and not so much on my own photography and b) I needed more room in the header for the longer navbar (which will be filled up soon ;)) and for the search box!
One of my readers, "Capricorn36" sent me a comment that the videos weren’t playing. So I checked into this and found out that my video hosting site, Revver decided to change the embed code for the movies (without notifying me) so all have been black with an error. I’m working on fixing all the tutorial pages right now and they should be working at the end of today!
» iPhone Games Review: Super Monkey Ball

Last week I told you about the new iPhone Center. Well it’s growing steadily and today I’ve added the review of the very popular Super Monkey Ball game and without giving away everything in the review, it is so much fun! So go ahead and read the full review now.
» Brand new iPhone Center revealed!
I’m proud to release a brand new iPhone Center on the site which holds tips and tricks on the iPhone as well as reviews of iPhone applications. We have many tips and reviews up already but we plan to expand on the center as time goes! Click on the image above or follow the link here to the iPhone Center and please give your comments on it!
» No Blogging Wednesday
Got a lot to do today which means that there will be a no blogging Wednesday. Instead go and check out a guest-blogger post over at Scott Kelby’s blog by Matt Kloskowski that talks about a fun project that involved photoshop! Matt did a wonderful post there and it is worth your time!
Tomorrow is going to be an article Thursday with some coolies! The picture above also from my recent weekend trip! Cool things are happening, more on that tomorrow!
» The site gets a facelift!
It’s the springtime and it is definitely time to get the site a facelift from being dark grey to lighten up to white and blue. The same main structure is kept so you’ll be feeling right at home with the navigation.
Coming soon to Bernskiold Media
What’s getting really close to completion is some new features we are working hard on to release and also a lot of new materials! Expect it coming in the next two or three weeks and stay tuned for it. It’s definitely worth waiting for I can promise you.
Please leave your comments on the new springtime update of the site and if you find any bugs, report them in the comments. Also, if you have any suggestions on what you want to see, leave them also in the comments!
» Weekend Website Updates
Photoshop Express Learning Center
Firstly, the Photoshop Express Learning Center here on Bernskiold Media is now fully loaded with the complete tutorial series on Photoshop Express! You can visit the learning center on the link or by clicking on the image above to get up to speed with the new Photoshop Express right now!
Name Change and new header!
As you may have noticed, the site has got a brand new name now. I have decided that considering content and all, it is now best to name the site Bernskiold Media which also more clearly defines what the site is about. The domain however, will be staying the same as before and no updates are required to view the site for you!
Also updated is the header with a little more modern navigation bar, that is perhaps a little bit more interesting than the previous. Expect some smaller design updates to be coming this week on with some cool smaller features as well.
Website backend updated to WordPress 2.5
The backend has been updated to the brand new release version of WordPress which is version 2.5. It features a redesigned admin panel and some new features for the end viewer as well, which I’ll be working on incorporating in the near future, but don’t expect a ton, most of the updates coming are planned ones
