» Easy Going Tuesday
For me at least today is a really easy going Tuesday with loads of free time to work on so here is a Tuesday news post, filled with some cool goodies!
- Rumors were apparently true yesterday! Today marks the official release of Windows Vista SP1 and it should be available in the Windows Updater for you all using Vista.
- Justin Seeley had a pretty cool blog post today about the Social Network Wars that are going on right now, where they are definately in war for us visitors. It’s a very interesting read. PS: I should also mention that Justin is back on blogging now so check is totally revamped blog out, it’s pretty cool.
- Apple has today released a new version of Safari bringing it up to version 3.1. They promise it to be even faster now, and I’d say it runs smoothly, so no reason not to upgrade.
- I just gotto rave on a bit about B&H Photo! I’m on the lookout for some new lighting gear to add (mainly things that Scott Kelby suggested in his first lighting week day, things that do suit my budget) to my set-up, and the thing is I need some extension cable and with the whole world of cables out there, I had no idea what to get. So I go to the B&H Photo site and fire up the live chat. Immidiately I get a person assigned and get a great answer and product numbers for what I need, from the cables to the adapters. Really great service!
- I also want to finally pass on a congratulations to a friend of mine, Elizabeth Gast on the NAPP Forums (or there known as Firgs), who have got herself a job as a Photoshop teacher! Congrats!!

» Friday News Blurb
So this is the Friday News Blurb coming at you with some news and tips, for your Friday comfort
First off, there is a rumor going around that Apple may be skipping the iPhone launch in France, simply because it is by law required that all the mobiles must be released unlocked as well. Because no iPhone has been announced for France, rumors have it that Apple may be skipping the country. I’m still anxiously awaiting the Swedish launch of the iPhone myself!
Free Stock Images
Now this is something I just got to think about when writing the first post. iStockPhoto the most awesome stock photo site, that I use all the time each week picks a Free Image of the Week to the public, that you can download and use as your purchased images. Now that is pretty cool but there is more, they also release a free image of the month as well! So go the the iStockPhoto home page to check it out!
Life Stuff
Yeah, I haven’t posted any life stuff for a while but I figured why not today since I took a maths test today and English test Wednesday and I think booth went really well!
Now I just hope they turn out to be as well as I hope they are!
Photoshop Friday at JustinSeeley.com
I thought I’d tip you off that today (and all Fridays) will be Photoshop Friday over at JustinSeeley.com with a video tip pre-released to blog readers every week! So go and check it out!
Finishing up…tomorrow & photography!
Alright to finish things off, I shot some test shots today from the balcony where I live over the blocks of buildings! Scroll down to the next post to have a look at it. Nothing special, but I think it was a nice try at something I rarely do!
For tomorrow, expect some new photography since I’m going out somewhere to shoot some! Also expect some new photoshop stuff (tutorials n’ tricks) coming!
» Monday News Update
So I’ve adapted this format for updates and still manage to find some other stuff in between! Makes some long and nice posts for you to read doesn’t it eh
Filled up with some site news and news from myself, a review link as well as some site tips, I think you’ll find this one interesting! Enjoy!
Pixelmator Review
You remember that back in the Wednesday News Update I wrote a little bit about a new program called Pixelmator that was being released, well Justin Seeley has on his blog posted a nice review about this time with the program and also posted a mini-series of video tutorials on how to get started with it! So go over to JustinSeeley.com and check the review out, or click here for the review and here for the video series!
Justin also does two podcasts, the Photoshop Quick-Tips and the Gradient Mesh, check them out as well!
Creative Suite Tips & Tricks Podcast coming soon!
My new podcast is launching quite soon in a week or two. It is called the Creative Suite Tips & Tricks and in it I will cover some tips and tricks over the entire creative suite and all the programs and I will also do themes series on some of the programs like Dremweaver, where you will see tutorials booth in the podcast and here in the site that will be themed on getting started creating your own site, taking advantage of Dreamweaver! I’m really looking forward to be releasing this podcast in the coming weeks!
Tutorials Section fully unveiled!
Yes, just unveiled here on the site is the new tutorial section where you’ll be able to find tutorials on many subjects including all Adobe products and even HTML and CSS as well!
So go and check it out either by clicking the new tutorial link in the top navigation or by clicking this link right here!
Website tippers!
I thought I should finish up this Monday News Update with tipping you off on a few of the best sites I know on the web! First off, the largest tutorial site on a ton of things, Pixel2Life is a must view for anyone looking to learn software, with tutorials from Operating Systems to the Adobe applications, you can find all tutorials over at Pixel2Life! The second site, I was recently tipped off on, by my dad, who found this design centered magazine styled blog called Smashing Magazine. This site is jam-packed with goodies on design and more and it is a very valuable resource! So give those two sites a view!
