Kelby Training News

- For a seminar more closer in time, Bert Monroy is bringing his Photoshop CS3 Creativity Tour to Bostan, MI this Wednesday the 30th April! Check up all the details here, as before, entry is $99 ($79 if you are a NAPP member).
- There is a new Kelby Training online class released and it is from Joe McNally on how to get better results from a small off-camera flash. You can read more about the class as well as an overview of the lessons right here, or if you are a subscriber already, go to the online player to watch.
Great free Credit Card icons!
Over at Smashing Magazine, they had a really good little resource article filled with great free credit card icons. If you have been shopping on the web you’ve probably seen them already. The credit card icons all over, chances are you might have been wondering where to get them. Fear not though, we have an article link right here.
Really cool Parallax Gallery tutorials
Back a year ago or so when I was a subscriber to a magazine called Web Designer, Nick La of N-Design Studio had this really cool tutorial on how to create a scrolling parallax gallery from scratch in Photoshop and Flash. He now has posted a very similar but a little more in-depth version of the tutorial over at his other website. It is an amazing read, right here!

» Wednesday Postings
First off today I’m happy to say that I’ve been starting to post my tutorials onto Pixel2Life, the best tutorial search engine out there and they are beginning to roll on! So far I’ve added about a three tutorials but more are in the que and more will be online there soon so more people can find them.
- I’m myself in the middle of a week with two tests, one yesterday and one tomorrow which is pretty big stuff so that’s why you are getting these news quickes all this time.
- If you are interested in lighting and such; check out the great website Strobist which has all kinds of info regarding lighting as well as tutorials and inspiration.
- More websites tips, if you are interested in Web Design and especially the latest trends and possibly discussing them as well in a more discussive kinda way then head off to Web Designer Wall which is run by famous artist Nick La.
- If you are interested in some digital photo frames, David Pogue of the New York Times just posted an article about their development he took a look at a couple of the frames on the market. The article can be found here.

D3 and D300 Stuff, site + review
- Starting off in the camera news, brought to you by the amazing wildlife photographer, Moose Peterson is an entire little (or not so little after all) site about the D that has just been released with more stuff being added along the way according to Moose. So go and have a look at the D3 Site!
- Following the news of the cameras in Nikon’s latest release we have a great review by Terry White on the Nikon D300 camera posted today over at his blog! It’s based on his first impressions with using the camera for about a week now and he really seems to be liking it a lot. New Web Design tutorials coming!

So I’ve begun to write a couple of highly requested web design tutorials for the site here and the first one to be released is a tutorial on how to make a stylish portfolio header right in Photoshop that we’ll use to build an entire portfolio site, right in Photoshop! The amazing illustration guru, Nick La has posted up a very cool tutorial or article on how he uses Adobe Photoshop to polish up his vector art made in Illustrator. I found it very interesting and cool to read so if you are interested you should definitely take a look at it here!
