There’s just about only one reason to why you didn’t get a news post here yesterday. I’ve been working hard, especially yesterday, to expand the tutorials sections a little bit and I’ve made a long list of subjects to cover, so far in Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge but I am going to make some lists for the other applications as well however. If there is any subject or effect or anything you would like me to cover in a tutorial, please leave a comment on this post and I’ll read and add to my list (as long as it is possible to do).
Now the good thing isn’t tha tI’ve made a list, it is that I’ve started recording many of the tutorials and I’ve even posted a bunch of them up on the site! Lightroom has gotten an amazing number of new tutorials over two days;
- Using the Find panel in Lightroom
- Exploring the Lightroom white balance tool
- A quick look at the develop module
- Using the Identity Plate
- Learn how the Painter Tool works
- Exporting from Lightroom
The Photoshop category has also got some updates which are currently being uploaded and processed so check in there later today. If you guys have missed it, I’ve added a brand new category, Pixelmator. I was getting a lot of requests for Pixelmator tutorials so you’ve got them!
Alright so that pretty much sums up the changes to the site right now (the reviews are also being updated frequently) and I have some further plans for it coming very soon so sit tight! Also later today I’ll sum up the recent news.

Adobe is listening to Lightroom suggestions; new version in progress!
Adobe is listening to all the suggestions that has been made recently on what we want to see in the new Lightroom version (2.0). Today Scott Kelby could say on his blog that they are working on a new version that apparently incorporates a lot of our wished for items but unfortnately he couldn’t say anymore because he’s under a NDA (non disclosure agreement) with Adobe. However I do most often think alike Scott when it comes to software and I will go ahead and assume that it is indeed going to be a killer version! Stay tuned!
Apple posts earnings report for the quarter; stock drops!
Apple has announced their earnings for the christmas quarter and even though they went with an over 1,58 billion dollar profit their stock dropped a full 11% on NASDAQ which means it has gone from a $180 value, down to $138 in this month alone. Apple Insider have been speculating and investigating why the stock could have made this quick drop.

They have decided to increase the space allowed on the server by more than 60 times, from 50mb to 3gb as according to Automattic’s (the creator of WordPress) founder, Matthrew Mullenweg!
And some inspiration!
Today, go and take a look at Belgium photographer “Zardo“’s (nickname) gallery over at deviantART. He does very awesome HDR photos of city life that is just plan amazing!

First off, the largest tutorial site on a ton of things, Pixel2Life is a must view for anyone looking to learn software, with tutorials from Operating Systems to the Adobe applications, you can find all tutorials over at Pixel2Life! The second site, I was recently tipped off on, by my dad, who found this design centered magazine styled blog called Smashing Magazine.
