» End of the week 46 updates
What has been.
Last week had perhaps a little lack in the blogging and I really hope to be able to catch up a bit again this week. Last week had some pretty large things in it for me, including a flute concert yesterday that did go really well. As we are approaching the holiday seasons it means extra work in all places for me. More and more design work to do, more tutorials I want to get out there and there are certainly a lot more news being released that I want to blog about. As if that weren’t enough, teachers don’t give you a break with tests either.
What’s coming up!
For the coming week, I have a few goodies lined up, including not just one but two product reviews. The first being of Scott Kelby’s Digital Photography Book Volume 2 that I finally decided to check out. My second review will be coming later this week and will be of a laptop bag that I got delivered late last week. It’s called the Brenthaven ProLite III bag and so far, I’m liking it a lot but I do really need a bit more time with it to give a good review.
I’m planning to write up a tutorial or two during this week as well as things are smoothing out in my planning and I’m trying to make room for all that I need to do and create a good, better and new planning scheme for myself!
To end today.
On that note, I believe that was recapping what happened over last week and if anything, this weekend has allowed me some relaxing but some good working hours to get some projects moving and some finished. Look forward to a great coming week as we are approaching the holiday season really quickly.
Speaking of the holiday season, check out my Holiday Gadget Gift Guide that I released last week for some major hints on what you could wish for or get for others in a lot of price classes. The great thing with the guide, and the sole purpose why I am doing it, is to recommend the stuff that I actually use and like and not just things I think "looks good". I get asked this quite a lot so for the third year in a row, I’m doing my gift guide and if I may say so myself, it’s looking very cool this year.
» Site News & Updates

Guess what! There are actually things happening with the site a little now and then and most of the time the changes do happen over the weekend. Here are some news on what’s up!
New Sub-header
Alright so I’ve updated the sub-header from the old cutoff and generally buggy featured tutorial viewer because I felt it was just taking up space and not doing that much. Instead I’ve added a little three part info box. The latest blog headlines, the podcast episode (latest) and the latest tutorials (or featured ones). I hope you like it!
Brand new poll!
I thought since Photoshop World is coming up this week (more on that in a couple of days), that it would be a pretty good to change out that poll. Instead I’ve changed it to ask which your favorite blogging platform is as I’m really interested in knowing. Now I do know that I can’t fit all in a poll, so I’ve listed the most major ones and then included an other one, if there’s a platform you think should be there. Leave me a comment.
Articles Coming
I have written and I’m in the process of writing more more photography and web design articles for the blog as I feel the news posts need something more per day. I’ll still go on with the posts but also do more article posting and so on. Look out for the first one tomorrow!
New CSTT Podcast Epsiode
Sorry for the no-podcast week this past week. I was down with a cold and couldn’t record which is why. I’m uploading this weeks show right now and you should be getting another one coming tomorrow to make up for it.
That’s it for this weekends updates. Look out for some new things coming soon
» Wednesday News Stuff

One would think it would be very hard to exceed the happy news from yesterday with the cool CS4 betas and the news that the iPhone is coming here to Sweden. There are however some pretty cool stuff running today as well!
- Backing up is really important to do and yesterday Scott Kelby posted his backup stratergy on his blog which is really a good one. Last Friday he had another post about backing up and the importance of doing do (sharing a nightmare story) and I call today another backup Wednesday because it is really important!
- About a week ago the talented artist James Quantz Jr. redesigned his site to make it much cleaner and simpler (and more stylish) to us viewers. I really think it turned out rather nicely and I think you should all go and look at his new site if not just to sit a while in awe to look at his work!
- If you’ve been paying attention to this site a bit recently you’ll have noticed a little change in the sidebar and overall width of the site. I’ve expended the width so I could fit a larger sidebar with two columns instead of extending the old one to be even longer. With it I also added some new sidebar content such as a twitter summary of my twitter page and a brand new poll and countdown. Some minor new cool things
- If you are trying to download trials from Adobe’s website you’ll be greeted with a not so nice statement that they are unavailable. Over at InDesignSecrets you can read what you can do and why this is happening.
